Welcome to the What's Up Podcast!

We are all Astronomers or Engineers working at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh. We used to provide monthly talks at the Observatory covering 'what's up' in the night sky, and 'what's up' in the news, providing a little more insight into the science stories in the media. This podcast covers similar topics, but hopefully offers a slightly different insight.

The Royal Observatory Edinburgh consists of two departments; the Institue for Astronomy, which is part of the University of Edinburgh, and the UK Astronomy Technology Centre, which is part of the STFC. Together these institutions are world leaders in many areas of astronomical research and in the development of instruments for both ground and space based telescopes.
